Step 2: Posession of a Positive Mindset

Mindset

A main attribute that all successful people share in common is their mindset on how they perceive things. High performing individuals have a very clear and an ideal outlook on themselves and their futures. Whatever the success and failures that one has already achieved is in reality, a shadow of how they are performing in life. Are you happy with the progress that you have made so far? If you were to die tomorrow and look back at your life, would you be happy with the things that you have done? There are no limits on what the human body can do, therefore, the limits that you have are the ones that you impose on yourself.

4 Attributes of a Positive Mindset

1. Your Circle of Peers

You are the average of the 5 people that you surround yourself with. Positive and negative thinking are contagious, we are affected by the people that we associate ourselves with. The influence that we acquire is from our circle, once a negative thought floats into our mind the contradictng thoughts of failure, disappointment, and doubt kill our mindset. Associate yourself with people who always reach their goals and attain that positive outlook.

2. Comfort Zone

Who has a bubble? We all do of course, but its time to pop that bubble and explore what is outside of it. Taking risks and doing things that aren't in our reach helps us grow as individuals. Creativity comes from different views, people, and situations, do something that will scare and you will be surprised on how good you feel after you do it.

3. Find Your Motivator

Everyone needs that backend motivator who pushes you everyday to do better and achieve the goals and skills that you hope for. When people see other successes and improvement in others, they take a step back and reevaluate about what they are accomplishing in life. It is a domino effect, once you find someone that you look up to you automatically start pushing yourself to do better. Then, this will display the passion that you have, your peers will see you succeeding which helps them follow their goals, and ultimately you become your own leader.

4. Your Body

How do you portray yourself everyday? Do you wake up every morning, hungover, skipping breakfast, and throwing on sweatpants to start your day off? Positive mindset has to do with your body, therefore engaging in bad habits will not help you attain that clear goal that you are hoping for. Dress well and eat well, if you feel good about yourself that will show through and it will guide you to a better attitude.
